I just disagree. It is a bad movie, for the most part. Sandman was great, but Venom was a disaster and the entire emo Peter parts were cringe worthy. Also, Toby somehow forgot how to act in this movie. Watch the scene at the park when Mary Jane breaks up with him. He starts crying and it seriously makes you want to laugh. The bridge scene is awful. I will give you that. In fact, I don't really like anything about how they handled Harry as the Goblin. But I love all the Symbiote stuff. Especially the James Brown sequence. It's glorious. I guess those parts can be funny, in a strange way, but they just make me not take the movie seriously. Don't get me wrong though, I actually still enjoy the movie, but I think Homecoming, Spiderman 1, and Spiderman 2 are better. |
