THE BEST YEARS (S2)

I won't pretend that KATHRYN was my favorite character, but... My God, what did they do to her?! She only has storylines of her own in the last 3 episodes... and they're not even meant to be dramatic (she adopts a street dog and she forms a club with other girls with the same name). It's as if the writers didn't know what to do with her. Well, I don't get why they kept her on the show when they already switched half the cast between seasons. Speaking of, while it's easy to alienate viewers with decisions like that, the new characters are likeable enough, but they can't save most plots from being boring. While season 1 wasn't excellent, it did a good job at portraying the stresses of being a college student. This season focuses more on the relationships. A lot of the situations here could happen to people who aren't in college, making the setting kind of pointless. There's also no overarching season mystery (like the one with DOROTHY) to help hook the viewer.
