Harper - Nationals Machado - Phillies Just a feeling. The players are rumbling about the free agent freeze of 2018-19. Rumbling enough to talk about a labor stoppage. If these fucktwats have another strike I'm done with baseball. How much money do you need? I've always found the debate of $$ split between Owners and Players in every sport fascinating.
I'm not on either side - I view players as 'blessed' to play a kids sport and revel in getting paid handsomely. Sports is entertainment to me. That being said - they entertain me and bring in $$.
I view the owners as Corporate Ice so to speak - in that it's business - like any industry under the sun - cold and calculated.
'How much money do you need' in my eyes is intriguing as I think it works towards both - the Owners and Players (and again I'm not on either side)
So what do you do with excess $$?
Are there any teams out there in the 4 major sports that you can think of that use a portion of their money for charitable contributions towards their city/state? Not talking volunteer work - I'm talking this comes down from Upper Management that a certain amount of assets - players as well dictated in the contract they sign - make a contribution to the community either monetarily or 'time wise' - i.e. giving back to the community.
