^^^^^ Not going to happen …  no explosions ? no super heroes ? no gratuitous gore and sex … won't sell... if it won't sell tickets they won't make it. Historical Dramas won't sell because a knowledge and interest in history seems to be evading the "average movie goer". Maybe the interest will come back, but I seriously doubt it. "The Favourite" turned out to be a, well, favorite. But on the other foot, Mary Queen Of Scots tanked (at least with critics, I haven't seen BO numbers). Yeah, historical costume dramas are hit and miss. But again, when we went to "The Favourite" at the Saturday morning matinee after it opened Friday, it was playing in the last theater down the hall around the corner and down by the exit doors while another new movie that had also opened the previous day was sold out. It was The Mule , maybe everyone's last chance to see Clint Eastwood .
