Rob Schneider - He was in town because he was filming one of his movies (2001? 2002?) so he was renting a condo nearby to live in that summer. He used to come in almost every day to 'look around' and occasionally buy stuff. He appreciated that I left him alone (as well as the customers) and let him be by himself (occasionally someone would ask for an autograph). Towards the end of his visit, he told me his friend Adam Sandler was in town for the weekend, and kindly asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner and meet Sandler. Of course, it was my cousin's wedding that same night and had to say 'No'. One of my biggest regrets! I did get an autograph from him, though. and chat. Once people would come in, he'd leave quickly before they bothered him. Danny DeVito - Son or daughter went to the college (can't recall which one); funny in a very drunk way. I don't think he was ever sober visiting the store. A colleague of mine whom I’ve worked with for a number of years said he caught the same plane flight as Rob Schneider once and they chatted. It’s possible they may have sat together, I can’t remember. |
