I've a lot of catching up to do with regards to my 2010s viewings, but for the time being my Top 3 are as follows:

1. Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

Those are your favorite installments from each respective serious? Interesting. I think they are both the weakest in a series, though I do like Rise much more. Beyond just okay to me.

I haven't seen Dawn or War yet, so I have no idea how well they'll fare in comparison with Rise.

As for Star Trek Beyond - definitely my favourite of the 3 reboot movies. I don't think Abrams was the right man for directing Star Trek. His movies rehashed older plots from the TOS/TNG era and I thought they were poorly scripted. Beyond, on the other hand, better captured in the spirit of Star Trek in that it was, at heart, a big budget episode of TOS. I also think that Pine finally nailed Kirk's character on the third outing.
