I reckon if you asked Ah-nold and Sly Stallone who rewrote the book on Hollywood action set-ups at the close of America's ultimate practical action decade (the '80s?), Jan De Bont would be a name that loomed large in the conversation. Dude can stage a disaster and make it work.
