Sorry, it's a breeder holiday, a heterosexist party. As a gay man I never celebrate Valentine's Day. Yes, I have a partner. No, I do not ape heterosexist ideals. I hold homosexuals who celerate Valentine's Day at the same level of contempt I cast those silly fags who get married. Now, I feel the need to scrape the scum off the bottom of my shoe. Hating is easy. Loving takes work❤️ Hating is easy. Loving is hard❤️ Yep. Though my contempt is obvious, there is no "hate"; and certainly not for heterosexual couples who enjoy a little romance and celebrate Valentine's Day. But queer people must be vigilent that we don't fall into the trap of imitating a system which was never designed for us, which ill suits us. |
