Semi / Quasi OT: What Are Your Thoughts on Tattoos?

I don't have any interest in ever getting a tattoo at all. Especially now when fucking everybody has them. Mostly, I just can't ever imagine an image or something I wouldn't ever regret or grow to dislike. So many of people's tattoos that I see look really dumb and are pretty amateurish art work to begin with and being covered with them always looks kinda trashy to me.
All that said, I don't mind if anyone else has them. If it's cool to you then that's fine, and I can kind of understand having something as a memento or something. But I'll never get one.
I have designed a bunch of tattoos for friends though. As crazy as I think it is for them to do it, it is kinda cool in some way that my art work is with them forever. To each their own.
