I gave it a 6. What does that mean? I'm not entirely sure.
I don't believe ratings out of 10 are the best judge for a movie's (or any work's) quality. I was fond of both parts of the first--er--episode (is that what you'd call it? The Bad Beginning, I mean?), and I liked parts of the next two--not as much as the first episode, but still clever and enjoyable.
Then came The Miserable Mill. I absolutely despised it: it is gloomy, mean-spirited, and sleazy.
