I won't post the picture of the album cover, but I remember reading about this metal band out of Norway called Mayhem. Back in the early 90's their singer blew the top of his head off with a shotgun. His body was discovered by the band's guitar player who photographed the scene. The photograph was used as the cover of the next album. The guitar player also collected bits of the skull fragments and made necklaces for the other members of the band. I guess this disgusted the bass player so much that he ended up quitting the band. Two years later the replacement bass player ended up stabbing the guitar player to death. Kinda makes Fleetwood Mac's internal problems seem a bit trivial. The replacement bass player who killed the guitar player was also in Burzum who put out this EP. Album cover is the remains of a church he burnt down. Initial copies of the EP came with a Zippo lighter with the image printed on it. Leaving aside the story behind it, that's actually a very beautiful image/cover, aesthetically speaking
