I'd say good for him - don't they have a ton of rising stars? I just don't see that though. I think he's playing one team against the other and would be shocked if he went to the Sox. I mean - if he want to secure his future and get the richest deal with the most amount of years - go to the Phils. If you want to be happy for the rest of your life - take less money perhaps and go with the Pads and live in Sunshine. If you're betting on yourself and are willing to take a massive one year deal in hopes the Yanks open their pockets with amount of years next year (I think this is the dumb move) - sign with whoever (in that case maybe the Sox) maybe i'm wrong, this guy just doesn't see it. Yeah, it's just wishful thinking. Rising stars, money to burn, and the additions of his brother-in-law Yonder Alonso, and his friend Jon Jay, both of whom train with Manny in Miami during the offseason. They even have a name for themselves: the Miami Baseball Brotherhood. Come play with your friends, Manny! Who's the kid they had in the minors last year who actually called the team out (was it Twitter?) about bringing him up? He was a beast and was tearing it up. Can't recall if he ever did get called up - but he was obliterating farm ball. Many said it was a bad look - I kind of appreciated it and thought it was rather b@llsy
