Who's the kid they had in the minors last year who actually called the team out (was it Twitter?) about bringing him up?

He was a beast and was tearing it up.

Can't recall if he ever did get called up - but he was obliterating farm ball.

That would be Eloy Jimenez. He was mashing. Almost 1.000 OPS at age 21 in AAA. But there was no reason to bring him up in the last month of a losing season. That would have started the service time clock, and the Sox would have lost out on a year of control for nothing.
