anthonyrocks , you should probably put a big SPOILERS marker in your subject-line, especially as this story, of all of them, is one you don’t want to have spoiled.

I’ve toyed with the idea of how a modern version would work; in this case, I wouldn’t actually mind modernizing it at all. (In fact, Christie is explicit in emphasizing the [then-]modernism of the house, so as to show [maybe?] that horrific things can happen even if up-to-date, modern places—so I don’t think it would be too unfaithful to her intentions to update it.)

I’ve long had the weird idea of casting Keanu Reeves as Marston, as his surfer-dude persona would be a good update to Christie’s amoral ne’er-do-well. But he might be too old for it now.
