If I'm not mistaken, it was Rebecca Ferguson who almost got cast as Captain Marvel, not Emily Blunt. She was supposed to be Black Widow. IMO, they both would have been better suited for their respective roles than the actors we ended up with.
Rebecca Ferguson would've been great. Much more believable as an action hero.
