Because Feige doesn't want women making MCU movies. All that talk about MCU hiring more women directors and writers is just PR fluff for the media. Heck, Feige wouldn't even allow a women director to direct Captain Marvel on her own. Feige appointed a male director to be in charge and direct Captain Marvel while having a woman "co-director" parade in front of the media so that he can get positive PR for that. the directors of Captain Marvel, Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, are HUSBAND AND WIFE That's why Feige hire them. So he can direct while she parades in front of the media. Feige knows that she's not going to bad-mouth her "co-director" in front of the media since they're married. |
