STOP BULLSHITTING! Feige could've just hired a female director to solely direct Captain Marvel (like Patty Jenkins did for Wonder Woman), but he didn't because he wanted a male director to direct the movie and only wanted a female "co-director" to parade in front of the cameras for media fluff.

Because they're a filmmaking team and work pretty much every gig they are hired to do and it makes sense to hire both on such a large movie because they have established relationship and team dynamic, this isn't a 30 minute episode for a low budget TV series where one could direct it it's a 100+ million dollar superhero movie.
