this isn't a 30 minute episode for a low budget TV series where one could direct it it's a 100+ million dollar superhero movie. And Patty Jenkins directed a 100+ million dollar superhero movie by herself. Because they're a filmmaking team and work pretty much every gig they are hired to do So what? Like I said in a previous post, there's no such thing as a "team package" in the entertainment industry. Just watch Fighting with My Family. Paige and her brother were both invited to audition for WWE. After the audition, WWE offered a developmental contract to Paige but not to her bother. Paige told the WWE official that she and her brother came as a team package and demanded that they take her brother as well or she wouldn't go. The WWE official said her brother wasn't coming and she can either come along or take a hike. Her brother convinced her that she should go without him. There's no law that says Feige had to hire both of them. There are no "team package" deals in the entertainment industry. SO either: 1. Feige really wanted to hire a woman to direct but she refused to do it unless her husband was also hired and her husband was so selfish that he wasn't willing to tell her to go along without him so Feige had no choice but to bring him along also. or 2. Feige didn't want a woman to direct and really wanted only a man to direct but hired a woman as "co-director" so he could parade her in front of the media cameras for PR fluff. This is most likely since we know PR fluff is important to Feige, which is why Feige recently announced (for PR fluff) that MCU would hire more female directors and female writers, only to turn around and hire a male write to re-write the script for Black Widow. Wow, so much energy, and guess what? justanaveragejoe owned you in just a single sentence.
