A massive overestimation. Captain Marvel is tracking higher (further, faster) than most superhero debuts. How did she alienate or pee-off a high percentage of the audience? Did I miss something? I mean, there was some initial griping I heard when the trailer hit, because people didn't like her lack of smiling (which the actress brilliantly turned around- cause Steve Rogers/etc. didn't do a lot of smiling in the initial trailers for their movies- I think THOR is the only one that had the lead smile much in the first trailer, and Thor is a giant puppy, so...), then there was some stuff about how high pitched her voice is so people were griping that she wasn't terribly sexy (which I mean, Really? Of all the things you could choose to whine about?) and it didn't sound like the other actresses in the MCU. But it hardly seemed like a high percentage. It just seemed like a few fanboys/fangirls who were miffed over pointless little things. So I'm genuinely confused and curious, as to how/why she supposedly ticked off/aliened the fanbase/audience. Is there some interview she did? Or is there some trailer/clip I missed where she is like, "Well, I hate puppies"? PS: I'm a fan of Emily Blunt, and wouldn't have minded seeing her in the role. She wouldn't have been my top pick, nor was the actress who did get the role. More I am reading about her, the more I can see why people aren't crazy about her.
