The next 'Spawn' movie needs to go all out and be everything the first movie should have been - a truly dark Horror superhero movie and I am glad to see Todd isn't letting studios water it down and turn it into an all ages movie. Bring on the blood and gore!!
Hopefully not gore just for the sake of gore as I hate that shit, but if it's gory for the story more the glory...ok im going to stop doing that now.
But this goes to what I said as well Todd's insistence on the next adaptation being more like the 90's animated show and less the movie is whats kept the IP out of the mainstream for 20 years, despite ther fact Todd has supposedly had a series written, recorded, animated, cast and voiced, that he is simply weeding out offers from multiple networks for decades now depending on just which interview you read.
Hopefully the film will be great but also some of the things he has said about it in the past has cast doubts, then theres the whole is Spawn a title that still works today? I am crossing my fingers as I have liked Spawn anytime I saw or read anything with the character, plus if this works then it's just going to open the door to more independent ip's getting a similar smaller budget but still big production and role out, which even if I don't like them all I want just so people like you Deb who may have those options because *bad Italian accent* the variety it is the spice of life.
But hey no one thought any sort of Venom movie would work these days and that damn movie made serious bank, which I attribute to simply the comedy of Venom calling Eddie a pussy, if the sword fight guy in Batman 89 is to thank for atleast $100m of that films box office, then Tom Hardy calling himself a pussy through a voice synthesizer is atleast to thank for minimum $250m imo .
