There were parts in that montage that were obvious without narration, like stealing and reselling the cigarettes, and other things he describes.
Since blowing up the taxis was not that obvious, it would have been helpful if he had narrated it.
To me, that is important. It shows how mean and tough these guys are and the extremes they would go to.
