He never has been. I'm not saying he doesn't have appeal or makes shitty movies or is s bad director. No. I like him. Just saying, his range is very limited. He shows like 2 emotions the every single movie he does. He's same the same guy whether he's a cop or a cowboy or whatever. I recently re-watched The Unforgiven and I had to cringe at several scenes. His timing is horrible. His line delivery was so off. I'm suprised nobody has ever criticized him before. Why do ppl like Steven Segal , Arnie and Sly Stone get knocked but Clint gets a pass? He's just as terrible as any run of the mill action hero. Yes, he has directed and starred in many critically acclaimed movies but let's not get carried away. He is what he is. Gruff , stone faced , serious guy. That's it.
