I think Al was considered to play Willard for Apocalypse Now before Martin Sheen got the part. Pacino turned Coppola down: "I know what this is going to be like. You're going to be up there in a helicopter telling me what to do, and I'm gonna be down there in a swamp for five months." LOL!
