No. I stand by that it is a misunderstood comedy. I think everything in the movie that is awful and "unintentionally" hilarious was done intentionally by the director to achieve a "so bad it is good" effect. You don't dress Nicolas Cage in a ridiculous looking bear costume and have him karate kicking, punching and stealing women's bicycles at gunpoint and not expect it to be hilarious. I think Neil Lebute successfully trolled the audience and considering his twisted sense of humor it makes total sense. He has written and directed more than one movie involving a character playing is sick trick on another character as the main plot and I think he was playing a trick on the audience with The Wicker Man. All this basically.
