Creed II (2018, Steven Caple Jr.)

On par with the first one if you ask me. Stallone is quite good again and the film has some strong moments. I found the story kind of weak though.

Serenity (2019, Steven Knight)

A very strange film, that while not good, held my interest throughout and I thought the cast did a pretty good job.

Happiness (1998, Todd Solondz)

Dylan Baker and Philip Seymour Hoffman both put in very good performances and the rest of the cast is good too. The main problem is that some of the stories and characters just weren't as interesting as others.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018, Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, & Rodney Rothman)

This one has good animation, a strong voice cast, fun characters, and a pretty cool story. I had a good time with it.

Gigli (2003, Martin Brest)

This has the reputation of being one of the worst films ever made and after watching it I really don't understand why. It's not a good movie, but I did like some parts and Affleck and Lopez were solid enough in my opinion.

Phil Spector (2013, David Mamet)

Helen Mirren and Al Pacino put in good work, but I found the film a bit dull a lot of the time.

The Artist (2011, Michel Hazanavicius)

This one is well made and acted and overall I enjoyed it.

Rocky V (1990, John G. Avildsen)

Has its moments, but overall the weakest of the series.

Rocky Balboa (2006, Sylvester Stallone)

Stallone's best Rocky performance since the original, plus a good ending give this one a boost. Some parts look kind of ugly though, some subplots needed more development, and it's a little bland at times, which holds it back.

6.5/10

Creed (2015, Ryan Coogler)

Stallone is really good here and the film has some memorable scenes. I just don't care nearly as much about the Creed character as I do about Rocky though, so I find myself less invested in what is happening when Stallone isn't on the screen.

Candy (2006, Neil Armfield)

This one is pretty powerful and features terrific work from Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006, Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris)

A strong ensemble cast and a memorable group of characters help make this a highly enjoyable film about family.

8.5/10
