No it's not a racist viewpoint when it's the truth. oNot exactly. The whole "Angry black guy angry at his oppressors and wants to strike back" is a legitimate plot thread that had been used all the time in films. Just about any major films with a black lead that have to do with slavery usee that same plot thread. But also, the trope of "Angry 'x' striking at their oppressors" can literally translate to dozens of films. The X-Men series subtly uses that same plot thread, but swap out black with mutants, but you can also swap that out with "gays" as that's pretty much what the whole series has been an allegory to. So you really are being racist when you basically criticize a black character who's motivation is race and fighting back his oppressors. It's no different than saying something sexist like "Wonder Woman can't be an all powerful goddess because she's a woman". Films play up with race and gender politics all the time to use them as plot points. But, that being a totally separate issue, you totally support my vacating of the wins. Right?
