It's like boxing. You want your favorite boxer to retire while their record is still at a high. There's nothing sadder than watching a once great fighter continue to fight way past his prime slowly degenerating into a shadow of his former glory.

Same with some of the MCU characters. You want them to go out with a bang now before their star starts to wane.
