Let’s talk about love, let’s talk about sex…

Let’s act out some activities that shock Mom and Dad!

Let’s say we’re oppositional to everything traditional,

let’s laugh at what’s conditional and just do what’s volitional…

And then let’s say it once again so that we’re repetitional….

But let’s not talk about film!

Let’s bring up the Wall, let’s talk about Trump,

let’s spout like politicians when they’re starting to stump!

Let’s scream about wars that are waged overseas,

Let’s debate domestic quarrels (just leave me out, please!).

Let’s hear the news Congressional,

and hope we’re not obsessional,

and pray that some “professional”

won’t make the banks recessional…

But if they do let’s hope that someone can be intercessional…

But let’s not talk about film!

Let’s talk about God, let's talk about fate…

Let’s willingly say weighty things should not have to wait!

Let’s mention the Pope, and his latest moves,

of which we have no doubt that someone here disapproves!

Why not discuss, if you insist,

why wickedness and vice exist,

or use an old Cole Porter tune

to demonstrate that you lampoon

pomposity, verbosity,

precocity, gibbosity,

monstrosity, famosity,

raging animosity,

ferocity, viscosity—

thank God for some jocosity—

but let’s not talk about film!
