How did people run rampant? RT put 2 buttons on each movie site - Want to See and Don't Want to See. Most people voted Don't Want to See. That's not running rampant or trolling. RT removed the buttons simply because Disney didn't like the poll results. It's similar to Ted Wells' investigation into Tom Brady's cheating in DeflateGate. When Wells was hired as the independent investigator, Patriots' owner Robert Kraft himself praised Wells for his integrity. Then when Wells came back with his findings that Brady was guilty of cheating, Kraft and the Patriots attacked Wells' integrity. But it wasn't because they thought Wells lacked integrity. It was because they simply didn't like the findings that Wells came back with so they attacked Wells for that. RT knows those results are accurate and not trolling. RT simply doesn't like those results so RT removed the buttons and called it trolling to try to protect Captain Marvel. Still trying to work out how Disney managed this. The company is owned by two rival companies. The CEO of one of those companies hates he CEO of Disney. The news reports always linking RT to these trolling events hurts RT's rep. Lowering of ratings in advance of a release could hurt revenue for Fandango who own RT. With all those points you still want to believe this is Disney's doing. Maybe I can present this in the form of a shitty analogy..you are qite partial to them. A man presents a picture of a unicorn... despite that man owning a herd of horses and a plastic unicorn horn manufacturing business, you insist unicorns exist. Because you like unicorns ng. it is not disney influencing rt directly. it is disney influences critics and the media that amounts to RT scores.
