The time of year also has a big impact on the physical appearance of where I live. After a good winter's rain, everything is lush and green and the air is cool and crystal clear and smells lovely. However, at present, during the worst of summer, everything is yellow or brown and the air is warm and dusty and full of grit. Most of the Aussies I met said that NSW's weather is considered much better than Victoria's. Because Victoria tends to get colder and probably more hot than NSW.
Although NSW is so big in itself that I guess the different parts of the state would experience different weather patterns. Unfortunately, I could never visit NSW except for staying a few hours in Sydney airport.
