Would you like to see Hollywood regularly portray LGBTQ children (like ages 6-12) in movies and TV?
For the most part, I only see teen and adult LGBTQ characters. If people are born with various sexual orientations and sexual identities, wouldn't it make sense for Hollywood to show more of these characters as children in movies and TV shows? Very poorly worded question. What do you mean by "regularly"? Probably many participants in your poll won't understand what you mean by that. How might an LGBTQ character under the age of 13 be portrayed in movies or tv? Probably most participants in your poll won't understand what you are getting at with your question as it was phrased, because most probably assume there is no sexuality before 13, and they probably aren't even considering the issue of gender identity. For those who feel under 13 is too young for any of these issues to be relevant, consider that children under 13 are very aware of gender identity and which gender they wish to act as and be treated as. One of the lead characters in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes, for instance, was shown as a very gender-non-conforming tomboy in the beginning of the film.
