I'd be very much pro-equal rights for LGBT people, but I don't think it's a good idea to be cementing children's sexual orientation in that manner at such a young age. Plenty of time for that sort of stuff once they're a little older. Movies shouldn't be over-sexualising pre-teens. How is it cementing children's sexual orientation? I'm not talking about over-sexualizing pre-teens. Just as straight kids are portrayed as having crushes and sometimes dating the opposite gender, the same would apply to gay and lesbian kids. I think kids should just be allowed to be kids. Devoting time and energy to emphasising the different sexual orientations of people who are far too young to be sexually active seems pointless to me. A form of tokenism.
