I guess I just meant that you like A Star is Born and I didn't at all, though I tried to be objective to an extent and rate it 5/10. I think Lady Gaga is good, but I wasn't overly impressed. She is certainly better than Bradley Cooper, who looks like he is just going through the motions or simply oisn't talented enough for a role like this. I personally have yet to fully believe Bradley Cooper in a serious role besides The Place Beyond the Pines. Sam Elliott is marvelous though. I don't much care for the directing or cinematography in the film either, so I obviously don't agree that it is well made. I prefer to keep my world POV to myself, because most people would accuse me of being seriously disturbed. I like Cooper okay (except in American Hustle, bullsh*t nomination) but he didn't wow me here, either. Is that why you condone the senseless and barbaric vigilante torture dealt to poor Marv and Harry? Just kidding. In a way I guess. I realize you are kidding because of the type of movie it is. While they are being tortured, the movie in this regard is treated more like a cartoon. Even as a kid I knew what I was watching. Secondly I have very little sympathy for people like Harry and Marv. If they just minded their own business and didn't decide to rob someone then they wouldn't have been tortured. Also, they could have left almost anytime they wanted as far as I remember. After Kevin shoots them with the BB gun they had their chance to leave. Isn't the reason so many people enjoy the Friday the 13th movies because they are being entertained by senseless and barbaric murder? Anticipating watching the next innocent teenager be torn apart, stabbed, beheaded etc. Seems kind of sick to me. Kevin is defending his property in an exaggerated way and I sympathize with his character. I see that aspect of the movie as being about protecting your home and yourself at all costs.
