So you just ascribe this motivation for God, and when you can't support it from the Bible, then just try to ridicule the person who says you should do so. Tactics from a pathetic playbook. And ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE (something you don't think matters), without God's influence the earth became so filled with badness that God wiped virtually all of mankind out in a global flood. So, if any question like that was raised, it got answered way back then. And since then, the idea that God is letting man take his course without the benefit of his influence is again contradicted by the Bible. The OT is a virtual chronicle of God exerting his influence on man. Generations after causing a global flood, he confuses their languages. He selects a people to be the "chosen" ones, and gives them HIS laws. He performs literally scores of miracles that bring good things to his people and bad things to others. So this assertion of yours that God decided he needs to "prove his worthiness" to somebody or other by not exerting his influence on mankind is just what I called it - Bible fan fiction. Not only is it unsupported in scripture, but it is constantly contradicted by the numerous accounts of God putting his hand into events.
