In Star Trek II: The wrath of khan, when you know the Enterprise won't get warp speed back fast enough to escape the effect of the Genesis wave, and you see Spock rise from his chair and you know what he is about to do. It gets me every time I watch it, a being who prided himself on logic and not giving in to emotion. He could, of course give a logical explanation for what he did when he saved the crew, but I know he did it out of love.
