Apparently people lived for over 1000 years. It's hard to imagine that...
I know that most of that period of "History" sounds like made up nonsense...
But, The possibility that if even just 1% of it was real, that can be quite disturbing...
Take about all those Ancient Egyptian Gods for example, like Anubis... They depict him as a man with a dog's head... It's very scary to imagine real creatures like those living among us, and walking around...
But my question is... If creatures, like: Anubis, didn't exist... Why or How did ancient cultures come to believe that they were actual physical beings?
What I mean is... People in our world today, believe in God, but they don't believe he is walking down the streets of Chicago, and running a Pizza Shop... (or maybe he is... LOL!)
So why did cultures like the Ancient Egyptians show Anubis to be interacting with them?
I just can't believe ancient peoples were all having (drug induced, like) visions about these things, thinking of them as being real... and, I find it hard to accept that every major historical culture around the planet, were writing complete fiction, instead of writing their history...
Fire Breathing "Dragons"?
Was there actually SOMETHING to inspire such myths?
And if so, then what?
I keep having to remember that the vocabulary that was available to ancient cultures, was much simpler back then...
I know many people hate the "Ancient Alien Theory", but they are right about one thing: The word "ALIEN", did not exist back then. If aliens did come to visit, ancient peoples would have called then Gods or Angels.
People suffering from what we would call today as "Pituitary Gigantism", might have been called "Giants", 10,000 years ago, because people didn't know better.
I do believe encounters strange beings and unknown creatures...
But I think that what they were described as, we shouldn't take so literally.
