I was waiting for that. Dude was a monster - even though the Heavyweight Division fell off - he beat some notable opponents even if they were at the end of their careers like Holyfield. Speaking of Holyfield, his son Elijah who played for Georgia declared early for the nfl which I thought was odd considering his dad was loaded so Elijah couldn't be doing it for the money. It turns out Evander has a net worth of less than a million!!!! He earned over 500 million in his career so how is that even possible? I know at one point Evander had a 109 room mansion but still half a billion dollars is a LOOOOOOTTTT of money to blow. Yeah - apparently the kid bombed at the combine (might have to correct me later - but I think it was a horrible slow 40 he ran) Holyfield? He used to be one of my favorite fighters and I still love watching his old matches - especially the Bowe Trilogy - his wars when he was a Cruiserweight with Dwight Muhammed Qawhi were really entertaining as well -and of course the Tyson fights. Guy here in the Philly Burbs - a journeyman from Sharon Hill got a shot at him - Bert Cooper - rocked him - had him out on his feet - but in true Holyfield fashion he dug down deep like a warrior and came back - it was pretty much what made him a legend later on- he never quit even though it appeared as if he was dead in the water. I don't like to judge - always live my life by live and let live - but - the thing that turned me off to Holyfield was he was a preacher - and it came out he had like 8 illegitimate kids - to each their own - but one of those situations when somebody talks - I'm kind of like 'whatever' - i.e. practice what you preach. maybe his money went to the 8 or so other 'Moms'
