And even more interesting that they were depicted as murderous, amoral terrorists with really no more moral justification for or claim to running the galaxy than Palpatine, and arguably much less. Yeah man. Compared to the goody two-shoes rebels in "Star Wars" the "Seven Samurai" of Rogue One were a pretty rough crew. Lucas wrote Star Wars for 12 year olds by his own admission and that's what gives Star Wars that wonderful light touch, lose that and magic is gone. Sorry.These are fair points. I don't feel like Rogue One was trying to be like the OT, tho, so I find its lack of humor forgivable. |
