I've seen you bring up that before and while I don't expect you to provide proof, since you're making it up for fun, even without evidence one way or the other we can call this bullshit because Disney has no reason to use a "loss leader."

Marvel is not a brand that needs help to attract customers any longer and Disney wouldn't be concerned if a MCU movie here or there performed under expectations-- at least not enough to pump their own money into it.

Even if people didn't go to see Captain Marvel, they're still going to go see the next Avengers and GotG. So Disney has no reason to take this approach.
