U.F.O.'s And The U.S. Government ??

My grandfather worked at NASA during the "glory years" (1960's thru early 1980's) and I once met Chris Kraft, Director of the Johnson Space Center, after he had retired. We were eating dinner with a few other people, and someone asked why it appeared that the US government was concealing the existence of UFO's and extraterrestrial life. Mr. Kraft retorted, "Do you honestly believe NASA would want to suppress the existence of UFO's? If we had verifiable proof of UFO's, NASA's budget would explode!"

That was a good enough answer for me.
