Yeah. It was and you can really see how it was all over the place with the way it kept changing throughout that season up until the end with Jasmine and Connor going crazy and trying to kill all those people and do you know if Connor was always meant to go crazy like that when they first introduced him as a baby in Season 3 or they had other plans for him 'cause I think they always planned to age him but they might have had something else in mind for him. Seeing him get his memories back in Season 5 and come back to help Angel makes me think if Season 6 had happened he would have returned full time or as a reoccurring character at the least who started to get along with his Father and helped him fight evil. I agree with you about Cordelia and her sleeping with Connor was sick and twisted in a way 'cause he was only a baby not long before that and she was the closest thing he had to a Mother as Angel said but it wasn't Cordelia in the driver's seat and I doubt the real Cordy would have done that. We have finished watching all of 'Angel' now and I am still kinda disappointed over the ending and what they did with Fred and I think they should have made it that Fred and Illyria shared the same body and could go back and forth and not Fred being gone with Illyria in her body and what was the big purpose of Illyria? Was she going to be a big part of the following season?
In hindsight I agree Illyria served no great purpose in the show, so why kill Fred to make room for Illyria? But I do think it was because she was meant to have a bigger part to play or a more vital part in the next season, I mean Angel declared all out war on Wolfram & Hart and they set a dragon after him for heavens sake, Fred's awesome and all but she cant take no dragon down.
I think you might be right about that but didn't they know the show was being cancelled before they filmed that episode? I thought Joss found that out fairly early when he asked for an early renewal for 'Angel' that it was going to be cancelled and Joss changed the plans and decided to end it continued 'cause he was angry over it but I am not sure. I think after they killed Cordelia off they should have let Fred live 'cause they were killing too many characters off. Yes, it was still the same actress playing the role so they didn't get rid of Amy Acker but Fred should have stayed up until the end. I wonder what Season 6 would have been like if it had went through and if Wesley would have been killed off or not. I read somewhere Adam Baldwin's character was meant to stay on longer and play a bigger role and Gunn was going to become a vampire and lead a gang of vampires after them until they gave him back his soul.
