Some actors have no-nudity clauses in their contract. Showtime TV network is OK with nudity, but Claire Danes usually isn't, and all her sex scenes in "Homeland" have her wearing a bra. If the director wants nudity badly enough he'll hire someone other than Danes. I find it highly ironic that a profession that caters to liberal and progressive minded people, would have actors that are so prudish about nudity. At one time movies did without it. They also had twin beds for couples, which looks silly today.
