I would like to see this too, but the Sixers are incapable of winning games easily. No matter who they play or where, they will ensure that their fans lose a couple years off their life watching them try to close out games. How much of do you think this is on Brown (especially late game collapses over the years - i.e. his rotations in crunch time - plays drawn up last possession? Let's say the Sixers don't make the ECF this year - think Brown's gone? I do. Harris even came out and stated it would be 'problematic'. I like Brown - but sometimes in life you stop listening to you boss after years upon years of service- maybe time for a different personality if they falter - just like Martelli got the boot at St. Joes and Dunphy was gently pushed out the door at Temple and granted 1 more year. I agree with everything you said. I like Brown, but this team needs to make some serious noise now. I blame Brown for most of the problems. The team just seems to play bad in crunch time. A lot of it is bad roster switches, bad awareness of what is going on by the players (look at that WIDE OPEN layup given up by Scott a few games ago or even having Reddick on Lamb at the end of last night's game), and turnovers. I think that the players have to be held accountable for this, but it ultimately falls on the coach.
