I've only seen one episode and wasn't that caught up in it, but after reading your comments I think i'll give it another try.

I’ll be honest, the first sequence hooked me. The main character on the train talking down a suicide bomber pulled me right in. There’s a good amount of that level of tension throughout...and a nice intermingling of storylines of corruption and politicking. The main character has PTSD fallout and a struggling home life on top of it. This show only had 6 episodes but it had tons of content imo.
