My mom actually got me watching wrestling. My mom was a fan (not a die-hard fan but a regular fan) of wrestling. When I was a kid in the 1970s, my mom watched wrestling on TV every Saturday morning. I started watching with her and became a fan.

We went to several live events. That was still in the territorial days. The most popular wrestler in our territory was Pat Patterson. Besides Patterson, other wrestlers that I saw at live events were Ray Stevens, Pedro Morales, Don Muraco (that was when he was still a skinny guy and hadn't started taking steroids yet), Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas, Harley Race. I also saw Andre the Giant and Haystacks Calhoun once at a live event.
