Yep, me also, continues to be the only film I have ever give up on at the theatre.

I did try again 10 years later and felt like throwing my TV set out the window - Keith Moon style!

Nice reference. Moon was being picked up from a hotel. As the driver was pulling away, Moonie yelled "Wait, I've forgotten something!" and ran back in. Soon, the driver seen a TV set flying out the window and landing in the swimming pool. Moon jumped back into the vehicle and said "That's what I forgot". I would have loved to have hung out with him for a couple days.
