I am always interested in checking out films from Coppola, Haneke, K. Kurosawa, Kiarostami, Amalric, Bong, Akin, Campion, Cantet, and Lynch. Not so much Baumbach, Haynes, and Miike. I see that Vanessa Redgrave’s debut as a director is screening out of competition. Should be an exciting year. It's one of my favorite events of the year. Love reading the reviews in The Guardian every day as the choice for the Palme d'Or gets sorted out. It is also a preview of many films that will be shown later in the year at the Vancouver Film Festival.
