What is your favorite silent movie?

I realize that I am possibly opening a can of worms here BUT The Birth of a Nation (1915) is a darn good movie and a landmark in cinema history.

There are scenes that are just technically so before their time.

And affecting ? The homecoming of The Little Colonel and the cotton false ermine on the girl's dress. Just !
