Similarly, Marvel Comics and DC Comics have nothing to do with MCU and DCEU production. The Salkinds bought the rights to Superman and made their film with no connection to DC. DC may have outsourced the filming to the Salkinds, but Superman is a DC superhero movie. Superman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Jor-El, Perry White, and Jimmy Olsen are all DC characters so Superman is a DC superhero movie. It's no different than if I went to Best Buy and bought a Sony TV. The store may be a Best Buy store. The salesperson may be a Best Buy employee. The cashier may be a Best Buy employee. The delivery persons may be a Best Buy employee. But the TV is a Sony TV (made with Sony parts), not a Best Buy TV (made with Best Buy parts).
