Is it just me or does baseball change their opening day frequently? Since when does it start on a Thursday? I grew up a Dodgers fan and I guess I'm still nominally a fan of them, although they historically have been frustrating to root for. I have a soft spot for the Pirates. But I live in San Diego and really want to be a fan of theirs. Too often they've given me the likes of Daniel Bard and Mark Bellhorn as their clean-up hitters (no, really), so it has been very hard to watch them. But with Machado, the farm system and the return of mustard and brown uniforms next year??? Put the Padres on the board too. Padres are a coming team. Too little pitching to compete this year but things are looking up. Tough to be in the same division with the free spending Dodgers, but the Giants are going through a lengthy rebuild, the Snakes are taking a step back and who knows if the Rockies will ever be consistently good in the thin air.
Like them going back to brown. The current unis are the most drab in sports. I just hope they don't go overboard and do the all yellow ones from the 70's. The looked like nine bottles of mustard animated into life. And all brown, you know what that will look like. But brown and yellow is a good combo. Every team but Oakland is either red, white blue or black. YAWN. Go back to the Nate Colbert togs.
